Washington State’s new literacy screening and intervention law goes into effect this 2021-22 school year. This law requires schools to screen students for literacy problems and provide target support on a faster timeline. Decoding Dyslexia Washington State (DDWA) has prepared this handy 3 page packet for families. It includes a "Question and Answer” page, a “Parent Worksheet”, and an “Information from the School” worksheet. These were designed by DDWA for use by families who receive notice from the school that their child has been “flagged” by a literacy screener. – Source: Decoding Dyslexia
