Do you like the idea of less food waste and want to do an easy, quick job for the school once a week?
Before covid, our students saved unopened milk and uneaten fruit from the garbage at lunchtime. We are so thrilled that this program is back at Puesta del Sol! The program is called School Food Share, and our school was one of the very first in the district to participate many years ago. We began a soft launch in January with a donated fridge from two awesome grandparent volunteers, and Senora Rosario collecting the unopened milk boxes.
We are looking for a few people to take turns picking up unused lunch food and delivering it to Hopelink once a week. Help us bring back this waste reducing, food sharing, awesome program to Puesta del Sol! Please contact Holly (president@puestadelsolpta.org
