All PTA Before and After School Classes are required to have a Chaperone on site for every class. Chaperones show up 15 minutes before class begins, take attendance, and keep an eye on students in the class. In return, designated class Chaperones receive 1/2 price tuition for one student. If no Chaperone is unable to attend a class day, the class may be cancelled without a refund.
Cost per class varies based on number of class days. Please see individual registration pages for exact amounts. In general, most classes are $27 per student per class day. PTA uses a portion of each registration fee to offset the cost of 1/2 price chaperone tuition, provide financial aid, and other costs incurred in running these programs.
Financial aid for families in need is available. Please click here for current Form and policy information. (https://puestadelsolpta.org/Page/AboutPTA/FinancialPolicy)
Maximum class size for all our PTA Sponsored Classes is currently 16 students. Some exceptions may occur based on number of instructors. Minimum class sizes vary per class, please see individual program descriptions.
Puesta del Sol PTA partners with local organizations to offer the best classes possible. When chosing classes for each session, we prioritize bilingual instructors. All instructors have a current BSD background check and work closely with our Ed Enhancement Directors.
We expect all members of our community to be respectful, be responsible, and make good decisions. Please see the full Code of Conduct for PTA Sponsored Activities here: doc
Please arrive on time, or early, to pick up your students from class. If you know you will be late to pick-up, please call or email your instructor and/or edenhancement@puestadelsolpta.org . If you are more than 5 minutes late, we will call all caregiver phone numbers. If students are picked up late on multiple occasions, they may be suspended or expelled from the program without a refund.
Families may receive a full refund if cancelling registration no less than 24 hours before the first class begins. Pro-rated and/or class-cancellation refunds are not guaranteed and will be issued based on vendor & PTA discretion.
Make-Up Class days will only be scheduled if the class is cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances (weather, school closure, etc), or unexpected instructor absence. If the school is closed, opens late, or ends early due to unavoidable circumstances, classes will be cancelled and we will attempt to schedule a make-up day. The week following each class session will be reserved for class make-up days.
